I want. A lot of things.

Busy bee's should be given free honey.

I've been busy posting to my "professional" blog and have been neglecting this one a bit - sorry.

But I've been working on wire wrapping. One of my favorite pieces I made for my cousin, and sent to her for christmas. It's a wire wrapped necklace that is a dedication to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - If you don't know this already - I'm kind of a nerd. I ended up posting it to my tumblr where a bunch of HP blogs got a hold of it, and at last count it 6,754 reblogs! I'm confident that if I could reproduce it I could make money - but who has time for that?

I've been inspired lately by the Christian Dior Spring 2011 Couture collection. I have a lot of favorites, but I think my favorite is the one below. It's just.. gorgeous. (Vogue.com)

Another major inspiration was the Elie Saab Spring 2011 couture collection (thefashionspot.com) Every dress in that collection was timeless and glamourous.

Just imagine Ava Gardner in any of those? I could.

Ah a new year. With promise.

Yes, I won the YMA again. No, I'm not certain I'll be back in NYC this summer- though I'd love to be. So my resolution this year is to learn to "go with the flow" i.e. stop worrying stressing blah blah whatever.

Anyway. Here's what I've had my eye on lately.

This has pretty much been what I wear every day. An oversized warm boy sweater, my faux leather black jacket, black gap pencils legs, and high heeled lace up boots. Don't mind charlie in the background, and the dust bunnys under my bed.

All this gross cold wet weather has made me consider getting these boots. Don't laugh. Function is starting to mean something. I think I'm getting old.

I don't believe I've talked about tattoos on here, but I've recently discovered an artist that I am lusting over. I love this piece. Now more than ever, I want to go to London.

I've said before that I belong in the 40s and 50s but I've been truly inspired recently by these classic frocks, like the one below. I loved how feminine everything was, and how a real woman's body was celebrated. Not the rib baring models seen today.

I've been watching Rodarte since I saw the dress below in their Spring 2008 show. But I was very impressed by the work they did in the movie the Black Swan.

Rodarte Black Swan Sketch - my back ground right now.

My grandmother sent me a vintage beaded handbag for Christmas, and I wore it to a New Years party and painted my nails accordingly. It's hard to tell in the photo, but my nails are a silver to gold sparkle gradient, I was quite proud with how they turned out, and also how good they looked with my dress.

Camel is the new black. And I like it.

These last few weeks have been pretty hectic, but I can say that for any week in the last year... So I guess you can say the last few weeks have been normal. I've opened a new website: http://kerrienrogers.weebly.com/

In the meantime, here's what I've been drooling over:

"OMG! I FOUND JEANS!"

....That was the text I got from one of my best friends. I replyed, "from where?!" and she responded Gap. Well I got some gap jeans. They call them "Jeggings" which is something I've been refusing to buy. But it seems Gap's version of Jeggings has a FUNCTIONAL zipper, button and pockets - unlike the other kinds of jeggings I've seen. Don't get me wrong, if you can pull off pocketless, zipperless, elastic-waistband jeans - more power to you. But I really like pockets. And I LOVE my new jeans.

Here are some things I've had my eye on lately.

I've been drawn to geometric shapes lately. I especially love it in jewelry, and textiles.

I feel good about it. More so than usual.

The past month has seemingly disappeared without much notice. My desire for autumn to arrive is getting more intense everyday. Especially since my A/C is broken for the second time in a month. I’ve been thinking more about crafting - Which sadly has been put on the back burner for the last 3 months.

My shopping list for Fall

I've noticed that all the stores are getting in heavier, darker clothes though it's still 97 degrees outside.
but I still wish I could buy these.
